Dear Parents of Year 11 Geography Students,
We are pleased to announce an upcoming field trip to Peng Chau for the IGCSE Geography students. The trip aims to consolidate our geographers’ coastal topic knowledge for Paper 1 and develop their fieldwork and data collection skills for Paper 4 in preparation for their summer IGCSE examinations.Â
Trip detailsÂ
Date: Friday 26th September
Time: Departure: Secondary break time (11am) – Return: before 5 PM
Morning Schedule: Students should arrive at school as normal and attend their period 1–2 lessons.
Logistical detailsÂ
Return Details: Students will return to Discovery Bay from Peng Chau via ferry by 4.25pm.
Dismissal Locations: Students will be dismissed from either the Nim Shue Wan pier (Discovery Bay) or the South Plaza (if transiting onwards on foot or by public bus).
Ferry Payment: Students should have their Octopus cards with them to pay for the ferry, which will be HK$15 for the return journey.
Additional Funds: Students may also wish to have some money or Octopus credit for buying cold drinks after the fieldwork is completed.
Weather postponement: In the event of inclement weather, the trip will be postponed to a more suitable time.Â
