In 2018, the Centre for Health Protection launched the Vaccination Subsidy Scheme (VSS) for children aged 6 months to 12 years and attending primary school in Hong Kong. The VSS will be launched for the 2019/2020 influenza season in October 2019.
The recommended composition of the 2019-20 quadrivalent seasonal influenza vaccine contains the following:
– an A/Brisbane/02/2018 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus
– an A/Kansas/14/2017 (H3N2)-like virus
– a B/Colorado/06/2017-like virus
– a B/Phuket/3073/2013-like virus
