Dear Parents & Guardians,
I am writing to invite you to our upcoming parent information evening & (I)GCSE preparation session. This is a crucial opportunity for us to discuss your child’s educational journey as they transition into their (I)GCSE/BTEC years.
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday 28th August at 6.15pm in the Globe Theatre.
This session will focus on the demands and expectations of the (I)GCSE & BTEC programmes. We understand this is a significant step, and we want to ensure you are fully informed and prepared to support your child.
The evening will cover:

What you and your child can expect during their (I)GCSE/BTEC journey;

How the school will support your child academically and pastorally to help them achieve their potential;

The assessment and reporting structure;

Valuable insights from our Heads of English, Mathematics and Science on what it takes to be successful in their subject areas;

A dedicated Q&A session where you can speak with Heads of Year, Heads of Department, and the Senior Leadership Team.
Please complete this Google Form to confirm your attendance. Within the form, you can choose to submit any questions you may have in advance. We will do our best to answer all questions within our presentation.
To streamline the evening this year, we will not be holding additional tutor talk sessions after the main presentation.
For any parents new to our community, we will provide a separate opportunity for you to meet with your child’s tutor. Further details will be shared with you directly. If you would like to arrange a time to speak with your child’s tutor, please don’t hesitate to contact them directly via email to schedule a meeting.
