Mini Duke Sign-up!

Dear Parents

The DBIS Junior Duke Award, for children in years 3-6, attracted an astonishing 211 sign-ups. It is now time to get our Year 1 and 2s involved with the Mini Duke sign-up.

The Mini & Junior Duke Award is primarily aimed at giving children the time and space to develop key skills such as resilience, organisation, and most importantly independence needed in their future life. Presented in a glossy journal, the award contains a number of life-skill and cultural challenges including cookery, exercise, personal safety, environmental, domestic challenges, neighbourliness, and many more.

The award allows children to participate in a variety of new experiences and teaches them that it is important to ‘have a go’, challenging them to learn new and varied skills from an early age.

The sign-up period runs from Friday, November 13th and closes on Friday, November 27th. Once payment is received, we hope to distribute the journals in time for the Christmas holidays.
