Dear Parents
To support your child with their transition to the next stage in their learning journey, we will be holding a ‘Moving On Up’ morning for all children in Reception – Year 5 on Friday 18th June. This will take place during the school day where your child will have an opportunity to visit their new teacher with their new class in their new learning environment.
We have a number of teachers joining us from other schools in Hong Kong or from overseas, therefore if your child’s new class teacher is not currently at DBIS then one of our current teachers will support the children throughout the session and share a presentation from their new teacher so they can begin getting to know them prior to their arrival in August. All children who will be leaving DBIS at the end of the year will have a separate session in which we will be celebrating their time at the school, reflecting on their achievements and looking ahead to their next adventures.
Class lists will be communicated via the parent portal at the end of the day on Friday 18th June along with your child’s report (Reception children will receive theirs on Thursday 17th June as previously communicated).
We have ensured that all children have been placed with at least 1 child from the list you communicated earlier this term (Reception children will remain in the same class as they move to EY1). We kindly remind parents that we will not be entertaining requests to move children therefore encourage you to focus on the excitement of the new adventures and experiences your child will have as they move into their new class.
