Nursery to Reception Transition Afternoon

Dear Parents and Carers, 

In preparation for next year and to support your child in the transition from Nursery to Reception, we’d like to invite your child to a transition afternoon at the DBIS Early Years Campus. 

The transition afternoons will take place during Thursday 18th & Friday 19th June. To compile with the EDB regulations and current social distancing measures the Nursery classes will be divided into groups of 4. Each group will be allocated a day and time to visit a Reception classroom. If your child will be attending Reception DBIS in the next school year you will receive an invite via your Seesaw inbox. This information will be communicated to you by your Nursery class teacher by Wednesday 10th June. We kindly ask that only one adult accompanies your child to this session and that you and your child wear a mask. 

Please note that the children will not necessarily meet their new class teacher at this time. The purpose of the visit will be to experience the Reception classroom environment. During the visits, we will ask you and your child to complete a small activity which will be left in the classroom in preparation for next year.
