Nursery – Welcome to Term 2

Dear Nursery Families,

We hope you’ve had a wonderful break. As we move into Term 2, we will begin our Discovery concept “Sharing the Planet.” We will explore how we share the planet with people, plants and animals that all grow and change, including how we have a role to play and responsibility to take care of and appreciate our planet.

To launch this unit, we will begin by looking at how we have changed; each class will have a Padlet page (links available on the virtual classroom on Seesaw). We kindly ask that you upload a baby picture of your child to support our discussions in our class Google Meets.

If any member of our community has an interest in sustainability, plants and animals who would like to share their knowledge with the children, please contact your class teacher.

Online Learning

Whilst we are disappointed not to be welcoming the children back into school, we look forward to continuing your child’s learning journey with them online. As per the last term, everything will be accessible via Seesaw Class App. From 5 pm on Sunday 3rd January, you will be able to access your child’s timetable, links and learning activities for Monday 4th January. You can access your child’s Virtual Classroom via Seesaw activities; here, you will find the link for your child’s Google Meets, daily learning experiences, recorded storytime and specialist lesson.

Parent Communication

It is extremely important to all the Nursery teachers that we continue our positive relationships and communication between home and school. Should you wish to discuss your child’s learning or any sensitive issues in greater detail, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher via the ‘messaging’ function on the Seesaw Family App. We really appreciate your feedback and your support.
