Primary Swimming Lessons and Weather

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Please find information below regarding Primary swimming during different weather conditions.
Primary swimming lessons and swimming ECAs will be cancelled in the following weather conditions:
– Thunderstorm warning is raised
– Lighting within 30km of the area
– Severe typhoon signal 8 (T8) or above
– Amber, red or black rain
PE teachers may also take the decision to cancel swimming lessons if they deem conditions to be detrimental to the children’s learning or safety, for example heavy rain, strong winds or high pollution.
Swimming is able to continue if a T1 or T3 warning is raised and conditions are judged to be safe by the PE department. Swimming will never proceed if conditions are deemed to be unsafe for the children.
Please don’t hesitate to email Emily Hull (Deputy Head of PE and Sport) if you have any questions, at [email protected].
Kind regards
The PE Department
