We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to cook traditional food from their home countries. Food is such universal language and a window into other cultures, and preparing and sharing traditional dishes offers the community an authentic taste of each other’s heritage.
This is the PTSA’s biggest fundraiser of the year. People from the DB community and everyone at school come together to host a fun day with traditional food from home countries, games and activities for the children, and music and performances from students, staff and the DB community.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a celebration of our community’s diverse culture and one of our favourite days at DBIS.
With students from 51 countries represented at school, we would love to see this reflected in the food stalls available this year.
We cannot do this with the wonderful volunteers that help out every year – we look forward to your participation!
