PTSA Newsletter

Greetings from the DBIS PTSA Committee – long time no see! What a year we are having… The good news is that our kids will be heading back into school soon, which is wonderful to hear on so many levels #nomorehomeschoolingturnsoutIamnotateacher!

With that in mind, the PTSA are organizing the first socially-distanced second-hand uniform sale in our history, so please be sure to sign up to sort, sell and buy through the links below:

  1. Volunteer to SORT and SELL
  2. Sign up for your time slot to BUY

We are also (finally) able to start planning some events. We aren’t sure what they will look like yet, but keep your eyes peeled for more information about :

  • New Parents Coffee Morning
  • Back to school celebration
  • Big Quiz

Finally, it is with great sadness (and maybe a small sigh of relief) that I am stepping down as Chair of the committee this year as I have completed my three year term. We will also be saying goodbye to a number of parent representatives so will be looking to recruit new members.

Official resignations, voting and elections of new members will take place at our Annual General Meeting on October 14th. We will provide further details of how, when and where this meeting will take place this year when we have a clearer idea of what social-distancing measures will be in place at that time, but in the meantime please express your interest in joining the committee by completing this form.

This may be the last newsletter that I write, so I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the honour of being your Chair. It has been a joy and a privilege and I am so grateful for all your support.

Warmest regards,

Liz Hemmings

PTSA Chair
