 Dear Parents and Carers,
As in Nursery, during your child’s Reception year we would like to continue to invite parents and carers into your child’s class once a week from 8:55-9:15am. The purpose of this extended start session is for you, as parents and carers to engage with and support your child’s learning in their classrooms.Â
Each morning you will have noticed the children participate in a few morning tasks. Some of these tasks include; self registering, writing their name, undertaking a set challenges or choosing the story of the day. During your child’s Soft Start we ask that you support them with their morning tasks and routines. You are also welcome to contribute to our Learning Walls. The purpose of the Learning Wall is to document the children’s thoughts, questions and revelations. We ask that during your child’s Soft Start you visit the Learning Wall and discuss the content with your child. Likewise please feel free to add a picture, postcard or photograph that your child has done outside of school to our Community Galleries.
