Reception to EY1 Transition Afternoon

Dear Parents and Carers, 

In preparation for next year and to support your child in the transition from Reception to Early Year 1 (EY1), we’d like to invite your child to a transition afternoon at the DBIS main campus. 

The transition afternoons will take place during the week beginning 15th June. To comply with the EDB regulations and current social distancing measures the Reception classes will be divided into groups of 4.

Each group will be allocated a day and time to visit an EY1 classroom. This information will be communicated to you by your Reception class teacher by Friday 5th June. We kindly ask that only one adult accompanies your child to this session and that you and your child wear a mask. 

Please note that the children will not necessarily meet their new class teacher at this time. The purpose of the visit will be to experience the EY1 classroom environment, visit the main campus and meet our current EY1 class teachers. During the visits, we will ask you and your child to complete a small activity which will be left in the classroom in preparation for next year.
