Relationships & Sex Education (RSE) – Term 3

Dear Parents and Guardians,

DBIS is committed to supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of our students as an essential part of their education. One of the ways we do this is through our ‘Learning for Life’ programme (L4L), which covers topics like relationships, physical and emotional health and living in the wider world. L4L aims to help students make safe and informed decisions and is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for making safe and informed choices, both during their school years and beyond.

Relationships and Sexual Education (RSE) is a key element of the L4L curriculum. Elements of RSE learning are delivered throughout the school year, integrated into relevant areas of learning, and tailored to be age appropriate. In Term 3, your child will receive specific RSE lessons focused on age-and-stage-appropriate themes. You can find a detailed outline of the content for each year group by following this link: DBIS PSHE – Parent Information.

Should you require any further information about the RSE provision provided at DBIS, please reach out to your child’s Head of Year for further discussion.

Kind regards,

Jessica Hickling
