Safeguarding and Online Learning

Dear Parents,

It has been wonderful to see our children engaging with the home learning this week. I have particularly enjoyed seeing the children during our assemblies and celebrating their achievements.

I just wanted to send a quick reminder regarding the children’s participation in live Google Meets and when posting to Seesaw. Please can I ask that when children are joining live Meets, they are suitably dressed; this includes being fully clothed and not wearing pyjamas or nightwear. Furthermore, when posting to Seesaw, I kindly ask that the children follow these same guidelines. Digital safety is an important aspect of the children’s learning, and we want to ensure the children are safe in all the learning environments they interact with, including online.

In the interests of the children’s privacy and safety, teachers will not approve posts if it is felt the children are not meeting these guidelines when posting to Seesaw and may ask children to leave a call and return when dressed should they appear in a Google Meet without suitable clothing.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best wishes,

Hannah Cole
