School Uniform Reminders

Dear Parents

Students are expected to come to school wearing full and correct uniform each day; this is an important part of feeling a sense of belonging within our school community and reflects the high standards we have for all learners.

In addition to ensuring your child is wearing the correct uniform clothing, it is kindly asked that the following points are adhered to as part of our uniform policy:

  • EYFS students are permitted to wear leggings to school – these must be the navy blue DBIS leggings which are available in our uniform shop;
  • In cooler weather, if students wish to cover their legs, they must wear school uniform trousers or navy blue tights (sports leggings and non-school uniform trousers should not be worn). Students must also wear the DBIS school gilet or fleece (non-school uniform jumpers or cardigans are not permitted to be worn to school);
  • The uniform shop stocks both short and long sleeve uniform tops, undershirts should not be worn to school as these are not part of our uniform. Please ensure your child wears the long sleeve uniform top if they are likely to be cold;
  • Temporary tattoos must be removed for school;
  • Hair dye, coloured hair braids and large hair accessories are not part of our school uniform; these should not be worn to school;
  • Jewellery (except for a small pair of stud earrings and a wrist watch) should not be worn to school;
  • Smart Watches are not to be worn to school.

Class teachers have been asked to contact parents if students are persistently not wearing the correct school uniform. We kindly ask for your help in ensuring your child comes to school in the full and correct uniform every day, and thank you for your support.

Best wishes
