Secondary School: Physical Education Kit & Uniform Expectations (Year 7 – 11)

Dear all,

I would like to start by thanking the entire DBIS community for its continued support during the opening Online Learning period and now that we have been able to commence learning in a more typical setting. It has been encouraging and motivating to see the commitment and adaptability of our DBIS learners.

The purpose of this message is to clarify the expectations around uniform, specifically regarding Physical Education as all classes are currently swimming and/or participating in International games / Invasion games.

In relation to Physical Education lessons, the following expectations apply:

When timetabled to Swim:

Student requirements:

  • Secondary students wear PE Kit to school
  • Secondary students are expected to bring the DBIS swimming kit, goggles, towel and a swim cap
  • Secondary students get changed back into their PE Kit after swimming for the remainder of the school day

When timetabled for International Games / Invasion Games:

Student requirements:

  • Secondary students wear PE Kit to school
  • Secondary students can choose to get changed out of their PE Kit, into their uniform, if they prefer. There are designated changing rooms for this purpose.

All students can refer to the PE noticeboard for their PE timetables located near the pitch or speak to their PE teachers if they need further clarity.

Kind regards,

Aaron Harris
