Dear DBIS Families,
Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the families and communities affected by the recent devastating fires in Tai Po. We understand that many in our community are eager to offer support during this difficult time.
We have been in close contact with our Social Welfare partners to determine the most effective way for DBIS to assist those directly impacted.
Our partners have informed us that, at present, they have reached capacity for physical donations.
However, the most immediate and meaningful impact we can make is through monetary contributions. These funds will go directly to the NGOs working tirelessly on the ground with the affected families. Your initial support will greatly assist them in providing necessary relief.
We are pleased to announce that we have coordinated an internal fundraising effort for contributions. Donation boxes will be located at the entrances of the Main and Early Years campuses next week during drop-off and pick-up (Monday 1st to Friday 5th December) for cash donations only.
We will continue to liaise with our partners, who will keep us updated on the evolving situation and how we can provide further assistance as the needs of the affected families change.
