Suspension of in-school classes for Early Years, Primary and Years 7 to 11 from Wed 2nd Dec

Dear Parents

As announced over the weekend in the press and confirmed by the Education Bureau, in-class lessons for schools will be suspended with effect from Wednesday 2nd December.  We will therefore be reverting to online learning for Years 4 to 11 on Wednesday for the remainder of the school term.  Similarly, our Early Years and Year 3 classes will continue with online learning until 11 December and will not return to school as previously planned.

There are mock examinations currently underway for Years 12 and 13 and these will be allowed to run on campus this week.

Planning is underway to ensure that there is a smooth transition into online learning on Wednesday.  Students will be provided by the end of Tuesday with learning packs to take home and information about the online provision and timetables will also be made available.

Further information will be sent out by the Leadership Teams in each phase shortly.

We are very disappointed not to be able to continue with in-class learning until the end of term but with the rising number of COVID-19 cases, the Government has deemed it prudent to close the schools until this current wave of infections is under control.  However, we very much hope we will be able to welcome the students back on January 4th.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or your Head of Phase.

Kind regards

Stuart Bridge
Head of School
