Welcome to Term 3 in Year FS-2

Dear Families,

Welcome back! We are thrilled to be able to welcome the children to embark upon the final term of the academic year. We hope you and your family had a wonderful and restful Easter break and are ready for an action-packed Term 3.

In Discovery this term, the children will explore ‘The Circle of Life’, where they will learn how living things grow and change. They will also learn how all life is interconnected and discover animal lifecycles. The children will also explore the Unit of ‘Moving on, Journey and Adventures in Time’. They will learn about the past, present and future in this unit. They will explore how toys have changed over time and prepare for their transition into Year 1.

Thank you to all of the families who have signed up to be mystery readers or share a cultural celebration with their class. Having a mystery reader is always a highlight for the children. Class teachers will post new sign-up sheets for Term 3. For families unable to sign up in person but who wish to do so, please contact your child’s class teacher to express your interest.

FS-2 Open Morning

On Tuesday 23rd April, we will have an Open Morning in FS-2. This will showcase the children’s learning and understanding from Term 3, especially related to Mathematics.

Term 1 for next academic year (2024–25) will commence on Monday 19th August 2024. Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th of August will be half days, with the children going home at 12pm for Parent–Teacher conferences take place.
