Welcome to Term 3 – Year 12 and 13

Dear Parents and Guardians of Year 12 and Year 13,

Welcome back to Term 3, which for our Year 13 students will sadly be their last with us as students at DBIS.  This will be a very busy time for us in the Sixth Form as our Year 12 and Year 13 students prepare for and sit their final end-of-year examinations and we say farewell to our Year 13s and send them off on the next stage of their journey.

Although this is a busy and stressful time for our older students, they will be well supported by their subject teachers and the Sixth Form pastoral team, who are always ready to help and offer advice. Once students have gone on study leave, subject teachers will continue to be available to students to help them prepare for the examinations.

Our Year 12 students will return to us following their examinations, and work will begin on their Year 13 courses in the final weeks of the term.

As well as the formal examinations, we are greatly looking forward to celebrating our students’ many successes in this final term, with a number of exciting graduation and award events taking place.
