Dear Year 1 Parents,
As the term winds down, we would like to share an optional holiday activity to prepare your children for our new Discovery unit, which starts after the Christmas break: ‘Let’s Build Structures!’
Optional Holiday Homework: Let’s Build Structures!
To kick off our geographical exploration, we would love for your child to share a picture of themselves with a famous, exciting structure from anywhere in the world. We would love for your child to share this structure with the class, telling us its name and where it is located.
We will then add all of these fascinating pictures to our large classroom world map so we can refer back to it throughout our learning.
Please submit your photo in one of the following ways:
- Hard copy: Print and send the picture in with your child after the break.
or
- Email: Send the picture to your child’s class teacher.
