UPDATED: Year 1 Upcoming Term 3 Trips

Dear Year 1 Families,

We have two exciting upcoming trips in Year 1 in Term 3. 

Trip 1 – Alice the Musical on Friday 16th May 2025

Year 1 will be heading to the Y-Theatre in Chai Wan to see an enchanting adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. The magical theatre production is set to spark imagination and take children on an adventure whilst encountering some quirky characters along the way!

Date: 16.05.25

Drop off and pick up: Early drop off at 8am to depart DBIS at 8.30am. Pick-up time will be as normal at 3.10pm.

Show Time: 10am – 11:30am

What do I wear: School uniform

What do I bring: A snack, lunch and water bottle in a bag/backpack. We will be having our snack at the theatre before the show and also our lunch after the theatre.

Cost: HK$420

 

Trip 2 – Disneyland Animation Magic on Monday 26th May 2025 (please note the change of date for this trip)

To conclude our next Discovery unit, ‘How We Express Ourselves’, students will engage in a Disney Youth Programme and will experience the creative journey behind the creation of animation at Disney. They will try their hand at animation by creating their own moving pictures, gaining an understanding of the workings behind animation. We will then have lunch and have some free time to explore the park in classes.

Date: 26.05.25

Drop off & Pick up: As normal, 8.25am & 3:10pm

Trip Time: 9am – 2.15pm

What do I wear: PE kit, DBIS hat. Please apply sunscreen and insect repellent.

What do I bring: A water bottle and packed lunch appropriate for a picnic (a larger snack to eat at school before we depart).

Cost: HK$380

 

The total cost for both trips is HK$800. The deadline for payment is Wednesday 30th April 2025.

Any cash can be sent into the main office. Thereafter, please kindly email [email protected] with your bank confirmation and student name for our records. Please use your child’s name in the subject header. Once the money has been accounted for you will receive a confirmation email from accounts.

We will require some parent helpers to accompany us on our trips. A sign-up sheet will be available in due course on your child’s classroom board.
