Dear Parents and Students of Year 11,
I hope the IGCSE examinations have gone well so far. With just two and a half weeks remaining, I am writing to remind you that the last day of this academic year for Year 11 students is on Friday 24th June.
On this day, Year 11 will arrive in school uniform and begin their final day with their tutor. For Periods 1 to 4, the students will then be off timetable, following a special programme of activities.
For Period 5, Year 11 will attend an end-of-year celebration assembly, where we can come together and celebrate the completion of KS4 and pass on our best wishes to any DBIS leavers. Whilst this is intended to be a light-hearted, informal assembly, it will also be live-streamed for any parents who wish to watch remotely. Details of the stream link will be shared closer to the time of the assembly.
Points to note:
- Shirt signing:Â Students wishing to have their school shirt signed by their peers should bring a separate shirt to the one that they wear on the day.
- Early leavers: Any students who have made arrangements to leave Hong Kong before Friday 24th June should organise a day to come to school and complete their leaver’s checklist (returning books, devices, clearing locker etc…) before they go. Students can contact Mr Moore or their form tutor to arrange this.
Best regards,
Nicholas Moore
Head of Year 11
