Year 11 Information Evening: Monday 13th September at 18:30.

Dear Year 11 Parents and Guardians,

It has been great to see our Year 11 students back in school, and I have been so pleased with the way in which our students have started this final academic year of their IGCSE and BTEC studies.

We have an important year ahead with many processes taking place that determine the future paths of our student’s education. To ensure that you feel in the best position to make informed choices moving forwards, I would like to invite you to the Year 11 information evening taking place from 18:30 – 19:30 on Monday 13th September.

This will be delivered by myself, Mrs Karen Hartcher (Assistant Head), and Mr Kai Glennister (Head of Science and  Secondary Student data). The main focus of this information evening will be to:

  • Explain the options process and give an insight into Year 12 courses to help inform options choices
  • Explain the value of data driven target setting for our students
  • Clarify the Year 11 mock exam process
  • Give an outline of what the Year ahead will look like beyond the first half term
  • Give some general reminders about staff and communications this year
  • Offer parents the opportunity to ask questions that they may have.

As was the case last year, this will be held via a googlemeet and you will be granted access 10 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. We politely request that you keep your microphones muted, but welcome you to type questions into the chat throughout the googlemeet so that these can be addressed at the end.

The link for the video conference for this meeting can be found here.

If you have any queries in advance of this evening, please do contact me at [email protected]. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing you on September 13th.

Best regards,

Nicholas Moore (Head of Year 11)
