YEAR 12 FINAL A Level & BTEC Level 3 OPTIONS CHOICES

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students, 

I am pleased to share with you the A Level & BTEC Level 3 options booklet and Jotform for your final A Level selections. Within the options booklet you will now be able to see the blocks from which you must make your selections. As subjects in each block are timetabled against one another, you are only permitted to make one selection from each block. 

In most instances, students will opt for three A Level/BTEC choices, with some students opting for four if they feel they are able to cope with the increased academic demand and workload. It is not a requirement for students to choose four A Levels. Students cannot opt for five A Levels. 

Special considerations:

• Students who wish to study Business can opt for either A Level Business or BTEC Business but cannot opt for both. 
• Students who opt for Further Mathematics must also opt for Mathematics (using two of the available option choices).

* Whilst we will endeavour to offer each of the subjects identified, in certain circumstances, such as particularly low numbers, this may not be possible. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that any given subject or combination of subjects will be available. In this instance, staff will contact students and parents to discuss possible alternatives.

In the JotForm we also request that you provide us with a little information regarding the plans you may have in relation to Higher Education (post Secondary School). Whilst we appreciate you may not know at this stage, any indication of your aspirations and possible destinations beyond Year 13 will better enable us to support you during your time in 6th form.
