Dear Parents & Students,
We know that for both our Year 13 parents and students alike a big highlight of the academic year is graduation and our leavers celebration, we too are always excited and proud to watch our students take their first steps into the next stage of their young adult lives. This year is no different in terms of excitement and anticipation, however we are required to be more cautious and careful due to the COVID-19 situation.
At this point the latest guidance from the EdB is that it is currently too early to know whether big events, such as a graduation ceremony, can go ahead. We are however making some tentative plans so that if restrictions are lifted and it is able to go ahead we are ready to put these plans into place.
Whatever the circumstances we are planning to celebrate graduation on the 11th June, ideally we will be in a position to invite parents to this event but regardless of the EdB regulations we are planning on celebrating the successes of our students however possible. Â
The intended plan would be to hold a graduation ceremony at DBIS, which will include official photographs and then all students and guests will make their way to their leavers celebration at a restaurant venue in Central. All students will be able to invite two guests to the ceremony and the leavers celebration will include a reception for guests.
We will update you with more details when we are able to and look forward to hopefully being able to celebrate with you all.
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you
