Year 3 – Celebration of Learning & End-of-Term Key Dates

Dear Year 3 families,

As we head towards the end of our first full year of on-campus learning for quite some time, we are delighted to share some key events to celebrate a superb year of learning.

Wednesday 14th June – Creative Arts Morning
Please send children to school in their PE kits for their last Creative Arts morning of Year 3.

Tuesday 20th June – Celebration of Learning and Onwards and Upwards presentation
On 20th June, from 8.30am – 9.30am, the children will host an “Active Planet” interactive museum in the Globe. During the event, the children will share their writing, art and science learning to teach you about Earth’s processes. Be prepared for rock testing, soil sampling, watercolour painting and some very informative explanation texts written by your children.

From 9.30am until 10am, we will return to the classes and present each child with an “Onwards and Upwards” certificate to mark their experiences and achievements in Year 3. Parents are invited to attend this.

Thursday 22nd June – Public holiday

Friday 23rd June – Moving on Up Morning
Children will visit their Year 4 teachers in their new classrooms. Reports for Year 3 and class lists for Year 4 will be made available online after school.

Week commencing Monday 26th June – Optional Parent–Teacher Conferences.

Weds 28th June – Year 3 Shared lunch
The children will enjoy an end-of-year shared lunch party with their year group. Class parent representatives are kindly co-ordinating the food on our behalf. Please send your contribution to school with your child on the morning of 28th June. Please ensure the boxes or trays are clearly labelled boxes to help us return them to you, and please adhere strictly to the school’s no nuts policy. Children may bring in board games to share with their friends during the afternoon.

Friday 30th – Last day of Term. Pick up is at 12.30 pm

Once again, we thank you for all of your support this year and look forward to celebrating the end of a fabulous school year with you and the children.

Kind regards,
The Year 3 teaching team
