Dear Year 3 Families,
As part of our new Discovery Unit, Mighty Civilisations, Year 3 will embark on an adventure to Tai O on 22nd January (for Y3GC & Y3BW) & 23rd January (for Y3RB & Y3WS).
Supported by the A-Team EdVentures team, this exciting day out will see the students explore the traditional living of the residents of Tai O fishing village. As part of the day, the children will have a guide to learn about Tai O’s unique heritage, cook traditional snacks, visit the temples and museum, and interview a local fisherman about his experiences growing up in Tai O.
Next Steps
- Registration form: Please complete the registration form required by our partner A-Team EdVentures by Monday 5th January 2026.
- Payment: Payment of HK$820 can be made in the form of a cheque to “Discovery Bay International School Limited” or via bank transfer to our HSBC account #111-459624-001.
On the day:
- Drop off and pick up times are the same as the normal school day.
- Children need a small backpack containing a packed snack and lunch for your child, hat, water, sunscreen and bug spray.
- Children should wear PE kit for the day.
Travel Sickness
- Please note we will travel to Tai O via bus. This is a windy and long journey. Any child who is prone to travel sickness please email your child’s class teacher and provide medication for the journey. We ask they are brought in in a clear labelled zip lock bag with your child’s name and dosage clearly stated.
