Year 3 Trip and Camp Information Session

Dear Year 3 Families,

I am writing to invite you to a parent open morning and camp information session on Thursday 16th January at 8am in the Globe. This meeting will outline the next exciting Year 3 experiential learning activities. These trips and camps for an important part of our Term 2 and 3 curriculum, as well as allowing the children to develop their independence and resilience in the face of new experiences.

The two experiences will be explained in more depth at the meeting, but briefly comprise of:

Day Trip to Tai O (Term 2.1)
3AR and 3MB: 5th February
3BW and 3SS: 6th February
Cost: HK$820 per student – payment due: 24th January 2025

Supported by the A-Team EdVentures team, this exciting day out will explore the traditional living of the residents of Tai O fishing village. As part of the day, the children will have a guide to learn about Tai O’s unique heritage, visit the temples and museum and interview a local fisherman about his experiences growing up in Tai O.

Overnight Camp to Mui Wo (Term 3)
Date: 15th – 16th May
Cost: HK$2,500 per student – payment due: 21st March 2025

During the camp, the children will apply learning from their Discovery units to conduct soil sampling, a mini-rock scramble, a micro-climate & ecology exploration of a local stream, shelter building and team-building games. They will stay the night at the Hong Kong Playground Association Jockey Club Silvermine Bay Campsite and enjoy an evening of fun, s’mores and entertainment with their friends.
