Dear Year 4 Families,
As we enter the last month of the academic year, we thought it may be helpful to summarise some of the key events happening over the next few weeks for Year 4.
Tuesday 17th June – Celebration of Learning & Onwards and Upwards Ceremony
You are invited to your child’s class room from 8 – 9am so your child can share their learning with you. Following this we will have our Onwards and Upwards celebration. The purpose of the event is to celebrate the children’s completion of a successful year of learning in Year 4. It’s a wonderful way to say well done and send well wishes to everyone.
Friday 20th June – Moving on Up Morning
FS-2 to Year 6 will visit their new classes to learn about the teacher and friends they will be learning with next year. Student reports and class lists will also be shared with parents after school on this day.
Tuesday 24th June – Shared Lunch
To celebrate the children’s achievements, we would like to host a shared lunch buffet and party in each class. We kindly ask that families bring in an item of food for their child to share. To minimise food wastage, we would suggest planning for around six children.
On the day, we ask that all food is delivered in named boxes and the children bring in reusable cutlery as well as a plate to serve themselves. A reminder that we are a no nuts school.
Friday 27th June 2025 – Last Day of Term
EYFS Half Day: 11.30am finish
Y1 – Y6 Half Day: 12pm finish
We look forward to our final month of learning as a year group, and hope these varied activities allow the children to reflect on their successes this year and feel prepared for next year.
Kind regards,
The Year 4 team
