Year 5 Digital Citizenship

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Recently, Year 5 completed their first Digital Citizenship lessons of the year. These lessons explore how we keep safe, happy, healthy and productive in our use of technology at school and at home.

In our first lesson, we explored the concept of privacy and how we can best identify information that is unsafe to share with the world. There is a short follow-up activity you can complete at home, here.

Our second lesson addressed passwords. We explored strategies to create highly secure passwords and discussed our responsibility to keep these safe. The family activity for this lesson can be found, here.

DBIS is a Common Sense Media certified school, and our Digital Citizenship curriculum is supported by a wealth of useful materials to help teachers, parents and students navigate an ever-more digital world. You can find a wide range of supporting materials here.

Regards,

The Learning Technologies team
