Dear Year 9 Parents and Guardians,
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful break.
Term 1 marked a successful beginning to this academic year for Year 9. I sincerely thank you for your collaboration and support throughout this period. Your involvement has been crucial in ensuring that our students are well prepared to thrive in all areas of school life. Â
Year 9 students fully embraced the opportunities presented to them in Term 1. They had an incredible experience during the Week Without Walls trip to Vietnam, engaging in action-packed activities and cultural immersion. Thoughtful IGCSE option choices were made, setting the stage for their academic futures. Sports Day was a highlight, showcasing camaraderie as students proudly represented their houses. Additionally, it was great to see so many Year 9 students performing at Christmas Concert on the Pitch, contributing to our strong sense of community here at DBIS.
