Young Musician of the Year (NLCS Singapore)

Dear Parents and Guardians,

North London Collegiate School (Singapore) will be launching the inaugural Young Musician of the Year Competition, celebrating the extraordinary talent of Singapore and Asia. The competition is open to players aged 4 to 18 across strings, woodwind, brass and piano, with a special concerto category (Grade 8+) for violin, viola, ‘cello, double bass, flute, oboe, bassoon, french horn and trumpet.

Online submissions should be submitted by 15th January 2026. The live rounds will take place on 25th and 26th April in Singapore, followed by masterclasses given by an esteemed panel, and a concert for junior, intermediate and senior category winners on Saturday 6th June. The competition will culminate in a final gala concert on Sunday 7th June, featuring the concerto final, where three outstanding young musicians will have the opportunity to perform live with a symphony orchestra.
