Dear Year 5 Parents,
I am writing to inform you about the organisation of this year's Year 5 Show.
Please find below a list of details and information for your convenience and peace of mind.

Interstellar
Information:
- Y5LM and Y5HK parents invited on Tuesday 11th June 6.00pm (refreshments from 5.30pm in the cafeteria and during the interval)
- Y5JH and Y5RA parents invited on Wednesday 12th June 6.00pm (refreshments from 5.30pm in the cafeteria)
- Each child in Year 5 will be issued with 2 tickets, free of charge, on the week beginning Monday 3rd June. Any swaps that need to be made can be done so on Thursday 6th June.
- Dress rehearsals are Monday 10th June and Tuesday 11th June at 8.45am. Children will need to be at school by 7.45am on both of those days to get costumes and hair and make-up completed.
- The Year 5 Team would like to invite your child’s ‘Auntie' to watch one of our Year 5 Show dress rehearsals, on Tuesday 11th June. The rehearsal will take place in our DBIS Globe Theatre at 9am (please can everyone be seated by 8:50am). Before the rehearsal starts promptly at 9am, please be aware that there will be light refreshments served in the cafeteria for those in attendance. We look forward to welcoming your child’s Auntie to the rehearsal. If you have any questions, please let me know directly.
- Children need to be at school by 4.45pm for hair and makeup on both nights
- Costumes – Boys to get ready in Y5JH, Girls to get ready in Y5HK
- Hair and make – Y5RA
- Holding room Y5LM
- Please can all parents involved in costumes/hair and makeup come to school for 7.30am on Monday and Tuesday for the dress rehearsals. For the evening performances, please can these parents be at school for 4.30pm.
- After the show, children will go back to the Year 5 classrooms to change. They will then be registered before being collected from the netball court by a parent/helper and dismissed by the Year 5 teachers.
DVDs
- DVDs will be available at $100 per DVD – please write cheques to LAW CHAK SUM. Please pre order your DVD at the office by Thursday 6th June, so that we can order the required amount.
- There will be a collections for our school charity of Forever Angels on the night.
