Dear Year 3 families,
As the end of term approaches, we would like to outline information about a few key events.
Celebration of Learning
On Thursday 20th June, Year 3 would like to invite their parents and loved ones to their final celebration of learning event, showcasing their progress over the year and highlights from their Active Planet unit. We will also incorporate the children’s “Onwards and Upwards” celebration at this time, awarding them their Year 3 certificates.If you are unable to attend, please do let your class teacher know, and we can arrange for your child to be celebrated by their school buddy, sibling, or a favourite member of staff.

Shared lunch
Traditionally at DBIS, the end of term involves a shared lunch between the Year 3 classes. On 27th June, the Year 3 children will each bring in a dish to share with their friends in their class instead of having their usual lunch. To support sustainability, we kindly ask that donations arrive in named containers, and the children bring in reusable plates and cutlery. The school’s usual policy regarding NO NUTS applies and we also have some children who would appreciate some gluten-free and dairy-free options.

Location: Food dropped off to Year 3 classrooms in the morning.
Moving Up Morning
Children will meet their new classes and visit their new teachers to find out about Year 4 on Friday 21st June. Those not joining us in Year 4, will visit Mrs Christiansen for a farewell session.
Class lists and academic reports
These will be published to parents on the hub on Friday 21st June.
Last day of school
On Friday 28th June, school closes at 12.00 pm.
