Year 6 Wetlands Trip Reminder – 7th and 8th October

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Year 6 Wetlands Trip Reminder

Monday 7th October – Mr Peacock (6MP) and Mr Kinder (6SK)

Tuesday 8th October – Mrs Ashcroft (6RA) and Ms Kavanagh (6HK)

On the day of your child’s trip, we ask them to be at school no later than 7:50 am and to wear their PE kit. Please apply sunscreen and mosquito repellent before school. Children will need to bring:

  • A snack and packed lunch
  • A hat
  • A water bottle
  • A light rain jacket
  • Please note that students will just need trainers; there is no need for wellies/gumboots/walking boots. Open-toed shoes, sandals or flip-flops should not be worn.

Travel Sickness

If your child suffers from travel sickness, please encourage them to have a small breakfast that is eaten slowly. If they usually take travel sickness medication, please ensure this is given to them prior to arriving at school.

Nut Allergies

A polite reminder that we have students in school, including in Year 6, that have severe nut allergies. Please ensure no nuts, including foods like Nutella and pesto, are brought on the trip.

Payment

Please ensure that payment for the trip has been made before Monday 7th October. The trip costs HK$70 per child. This is payment for the bus only; there is no fee for visiting the Mai Po Wetlands. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer.

All cheques should be payable to ‘Discovery Bay International School Ltd.’

Online bank transfer is also accepted, provided the transfer slip and student information are emailed to the accounts office ([email protected]) for reconciliation purposes.

Bank details are as follows:

Bank name: Discovery Bay International School Limited
HSBC account number: 111-459624-001
