CANCELLATION of Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 Camps/Trips

Dear Parents,
CANCELLATION OF PRIMARY SCHOOL CAMPS
After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision as a school to cancel all Primary Camps this academic year. Year 6 families have already been notified of the postponement of the trip to Thailand which was due to be taking place this week, but this will not now be rearranged.
We know how disappointed the children will be that the camps will not go ahead as planned,  however, in light of the current circumstances, and after listening to parental feedback, we feel that as the students have been away from school for such an extended period of time, they would be best supported in their learning a by remaining in school.
We are currently working with the camp providers to ensure a full refund for parents who have already paid. Our accounts team will be in touch with individual families in the coming weeks to share refund details once they have been confirmed.
We are hugely disappointed that we have had to cancel such an integral part of our school curriculum, however we are looking at the possibility of moving the camp programme into Term 1 next year so that the children have less time to wait for them. This will, of course, be dependent on availability and cost, but we will share details of next year’s camp programme as soon as they are available.
Kind regards,
Susan Walter.
