Dear parents,
This year, DBIS has introduced an updated version of our school Learner Profile featuring animal characters for our younger students. The DBIS Learner Profile is a set of personal learner attributes (such as ‘Creative Thinkers’ and ‘Confident Communicators’) that are at the heart of our curriculum and the international education we provide for all our students. We actively support students in developing holistically to prepare for their life in the wider world, students recognise and appreciate that their time at DBIS is the start of their exciting life-long learning journey for which, we believe they are exceptionally well equipped to successfully continue.
The children have begun the year using these terms so confidently, however, we want to embed this sense of ownership even further by giving the children a voice and the chance to re-design the Learner Profile characters!
This optional art competition is open to all EY1, EY2 and Y3 students and the deadline to hand entries into class teachers is Friday, October 22nd. (Further information is within the attached entry form – the children will be getting printed copies of this from their class teacher).
