Dear all,
To support the children’s online learning, your child will be able to continue to select, request and collect books from our school library once a week.
Please see below the library arrangements for children who are collecting and returning library books from the Main Campus at DBIS, alongside any additional classroom resources from the teaching team:
Year 6 – Monday request books/ Tuesday pick books up
Year 5 – Tuesday request books/ Wednesday pick books up
Year 4 – Wednesday request books/ Thursday pick books up
Year 3 – Thursday request books/ Friday pick books up
As an example, the Year 3 children will select their reading books on a Thursday, ready for collection on a Friday. These will be given out outside the gates of the main campus from 2.30pm–3.30pm on their designated day until we are back in school. We kindly ask that all reading books are then returned the following collection day. If there are also resources available to collect to support the children with their learning, we kindly ask that they do not use the resources until they have had their online introduction from their class teacher.
For our families that live in Tung Chung, the children will select their books on their usual day and can collect their books either in school (on the designated day above) or we will make one drop off on Fridays. A member of the DBIS staff team will be available every Friday from 3pm–3.15pm in the main Tung Chung square, near Starbucks (between the bus station and MTR station), to distribute library books and any resource packs. If you would prefer to collect the library books and any resources from Tung Chung, please let your class teacher know.
