Reception Theatre Trip

Dear Reception Families, 

 

We would like to invite the Reception children to the Performance of ‘The Gruffalo’. The performance will take place on Wednesday 6th October at 12pm at the Hong Kong Performing Arts Centre. The children are to arrive at school at the normal time and buses will depart school at approximately 10am. The viewing of this performance is a great opportunity for the children to see a narrative on stage. 

 

The cost of the trip will be $330 per child, please submit payments to your class teacher by Friday 24th September. Parents can pay by cash, cheque (please make payable to Discovery Bay International School) or via Bank Transfer, details are as follows:

On the day, the children will need to wear their full school uniform and bring a packed lunch and water bottle. We will have lunch at the theatre before the performance. As it is will be a picnic-style lunch, we kindly suggest sandwiches or finger foods that are easier for your child to eat. Children will return to school for normal pick up at 2:30pm. 

 

Each class will need 3 parent helpers on the day. A parent signup sheet will be made available on your class whiteboard closer to the time. If however, you know in advance you are available, please let your classroom teacher know. If we have more than 3 parent volunteers, names will be pulled out of a hat.
