The Hong Kong government will provide a student grant of HK$2,500 to each eligible student studying in Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary School for this school year 2023/2024. The student grant is non-means-tested. The Education Bureau (EDB) has introduced electronic submission (e-submission) of student grant applications for local schools’ students, but international schools’ students will still have to submit paper application forms. These will be distributed from 3rd October and should be returned to the reception desk of your child’s school phase (EYFS, Primary, Secondary or Sixth Form) between 9th October and 8th November.
Parents will receive either a Form B or Form A.
Form B – a pre-printed form with the basic information of the student as well as that of the applicant, applicable to students who have received the grant previously.
Form A – a blank form, applicable to students who have not received the grant previously.
Details of form distribution, completion and submission will be released at the end of September.
