U13 FOBISIA Games Trials

Dear Parents and Students, 

The Under 13 FOBISIA Games will take place at Patana Sports Resort, Bangkok, from 14th to 18th March 2024. The U13 FOBISIA Games is a multi-sport competition for boys and girls who are currently in Year 7 or 8 and born after 1st August 2010. Students attending will compete in Swimming, Athletics (Track and Field), Football and Basketball. 

Open trials will be held for all students who are interested in joining the team. A team of around 24 to 28 boys and girls will be selected to represent the school in this prestigious event. Selected students will be required to attend all training sessions leading up to the competition. A fee will be payable for the trip which will include the costs of flights, accommodation, food and participation. 

If your son or daughter would like to register for the team trials, please complete this jotform by Friday 6th October. Trials will take place as follows: 

 

Swimming Trials: 

Friday 13th October, 07:10 AM – 08:00 AM (DBIS Pool) 

Students must wear a DBIS swimsuit, swimming cap and goggles for the trial. 

 

Athletics Trials (off site at Shing Mun Valley):

Tuesday 10th October, 3:20 PM – 5:45 PM 

Bus will depart from DBIS at 3:20 PM. Students should change into PE kit at lunchtime; running shoes must be worn. Students are advised to bring a water bottle and snack. 

 

Football Trials:  

• BOYS: Monday 9th October, 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM (pitch)

• GIRLS: Monday 16th October, 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM (pitch)

PE kit, shin pads and long socks must be worn to play. 

 

Basketball Trials:

• BOYS: Monday 6th November, 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM – (gym) 
• GIRLS: Monday 13th November, 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM – (gym)

PE kit and trainers must be worn.
