Week Without Walls 2020

Dear Secondary Students & Parents,

I am writing to give you an update on the plan for Week Without Walls 2020. As you know, in June we made the decision to alter the format of WWW, to run a shortened version over two days on the 29th & 30th October 2020.

Unfortunately, due to the continuing challenges caused by COVID 19, we have made the difficult decision to postpone WWW 2020 indefinitely.  The uncertainty in terms of travel restrictions and ongoing health risks prevent us from being able to proceed with the event in any format at this stage.

At DBIS we remain passionate about providing students with valuable outdoor experiential learning opportunities. When we are able to return to on-site school lessons we will explore how we can develop these opportunities for our secondary students. We will strive to provide more leadership and service opportunities for secondary students throughout the school year.

I am sure that the students will be pleased to hear that we very much hope and plan to return to the normal Week Without Walls format in 2021. Including a number of residential and overseas trips. We are excited about some of the amazing activities and experiences that we have planned. I look forward to sharing more information regarding WWW 2021 with you in the future.

If you would like to discuss any concerns regarding WWW 2020 or if you have any questions, please do contact me at [email protected].

Yours sincerely
