Dear Year 3 Parents and Guardians,
We are delighted to inform you about two exciting excursions to support the Year 3 curriculum in Term 2 and Term 3.
An information session will be held online, at 3.30pm on Wednesday 11th January to learn about the trips’ curriculum intentions, cost and logistics. However, a brief outline is offered below. Please access the meeting using the link here.
Trip 1: Tai O, February 2023
3AR and 3KJ: Thursday 2nd February
3TS and 3EJ: Friday 3rd February
This trip will support our ‘Mighty Civilisations’ unit, by learning about how Tai O’s settlement developed over 3,000 years ago. Students will study the local geography and how this impacted the lives of the people who live there.
Trip 2: Mui Wo Waterfall, May 2023.
3AR and 3KJ: Thursday 4th to Friday 5th May
3TS and 3EJ: Thursday 11th to Friday 12th May
This trip will support the children’s learning about rocks and landforms. It will also offer team building and adventure activities to develop children’s confidence. The children will be able to camp overnight at school as a way to build confidence in preparation for camps in later years of school.
