Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am pleased to inform you that Year 5 will be going on a school trip to Kowloon Walled City Park on Tuesday 14th November (Y5RE and Y5SM) and Thursday 16th November (Y5CG and Y5TS).
This trip links to both our Discovery unit on Our Hong Kong and our English unit linked to a book on the Kowloon Walled City. Children will explore the history of the Kowloon Walled City and sketch some of the traditional-style buildings in the park.
Classes will leave by bus shortly after registration at 8.30am, spending the morning in the Kowloon Walled City Park. They will have a packed lunch there before we return to school. The students should wear their regular school uniform and bring a snack and a packed lunch on the day.
Volunteers
We would welcome parent volunteers to support this trip and are aiming for three volunteers per class. Please contact your child’s class teacher via Seesaw if you able to support us on the trip.
Payment
The park is free for students to visit, so the bus is the only expense. This is HK$50 per child, to be paid by cash, cheque or bank transfer.
Please give permission for your child to take part in this trip using this jotform.
All cheques should be made payable to ‘Discovery Bay International School Ltd.’
Online bank transfer is also accepted, provided that the transfer slip and student information are emailed to the accounts office ([email protected]) for reconciliation purposes.
